    3. Cambria Freeman, Ebensburg, Pa. Friday, April 22, 1910 Volume 44, Number 16 Thomas D. Morgan Thomas D. Morgan, a poet of Johnstown, where he had a large number of friends, died recently in that city at the age of 71 years. He was one of the famous Welsh bards of the name Cardy-Kynon and wrote considerable poetry, much of which was contributed to the Drych, a Welsh publication of Utica, N. Y. His widow, a son and two daughters survive. Mark Twain Dead Samuel L. Clemens (Mark Twain) died at his home in Redding, Conn., Thursday night. The death of Mr. Clemens removes the dean of American humorist and the creator of American humor. Oldest Confederate General Dead Mobile, Ala., April 21 Major General S. C. French, the oldest Confederate general, died at Flortia, Ala., after a long illness. He was ninety-three years old. At the time of his death he was the oldest graduate of West Point.
