Friday, April 8, 1910 Volume 44, Number 14 Prominent Farmer Dies near Loretto Loretto, April 2 After a long illness, Emanuel Sanker, a prominent farmer, died at his home near here at 2 o’clock this morning, aged 45. His father, Anthony Sanker, died a little over a month ago. The deceased is survived by three brothers and sisters: Mrs. Joseph McMullen and Mrs. Michael Bradley, living near Loretto; Zita, Mary, William and George Sanker, all of this community. The funeral was held at 10 o’clock on Tuesday morning in St. Michael’s Church. Mass was said by Rev. Father Ferdinand Kittell. Interment was made in the church cemetery. Blandburg Man Dead Altoona, April 6 Chief of Police Clark this morning received a telephone message from Edward F. Owens of Blandburg, Cambria County, informing him that Harry S. Owens, who was killed on the railroad Sunday at Plymouth, N. H., was his son. Mr. Owens stated that he read of the death of the young man last night and knew at once that he was his son.
