Friday, October 14, 1910 Volume 44, Number 40 Carrolltown Weddings: Sullivan-Springer and Lauer-Dumm Two Ceremonies Performed in St. Benedict’s Catholic Church Carrolltown, Oct. 11 The matrimonial bee which has been buzzing loudly this month settled in Carrolltown this morning long enough to see two couples married in St. Benedict’s Catholic Church. At 8 o’clock Dennis Sullivan of Carrolltown and Miss Ella Springer of Carroll Township were made man and wife. Their attendants were Ed Zollern of Pittsburg and Miss Margaret Sullivan of Carrolltown. Later in the morning Thomas A. Lauer and Miss Grace Dumm, both residents of Carrolltown, were joined in wedlock. They were attended by Miss Zetta Dumm and William Lauer. Artist is Married E. F. Mack, sporting cartoonist of the Chicago EXAMINER, on Wednesday married Miss Edith Owen of Johnstown. Mr. and Mrs. Mack went immediately to Chicago where they will make their home. Mr. Mack or “Eddie,” as he was known to intimate friends, was formerly the Johnstown DEMOCRAT’S cartoonist and had many friends in Ebensburg. These friends have got together and delegated Daniel McGough to wire Mr. Mack a suitable memorial.
