    1. [PACAMBRI] St. Michael's Ukrainian Church
    2. Joyce Homan
    3. Hello all, and thanks to those of you who emailed me about St. Vladimir's. One of you forwarded the camgen webpage to me, and I spoke with one of the organizers there, who actually sent me a detailed map and photos of the cemetery! I love how helpful this listserv is. That said, I do have one more question. :) I found an obituary this week that references "St. Michael's Ukrainian Church" and says there was (is?) a church cemetery. The only St. Michael's Orthodox church I've been able to find is in Portage. I'm wondering if this would be the same church (this was back in 1936) or if the church merged with another and was closed. I have googled and haven't been able to come up with anything in Johnstown. The priest at the time was N.J. Woloshuk. Thanks very much again for all your help and happy new year!Joyce _________________________________________________________________ Send e-mail anywhere. 1. Re: [PACAMBRI] Sarah Jones
    2. There is a Daniel A. Gray buried at St. Benedict's in Carrolltown. He died December 15, 1899. My research indicates he was struck by a train and killed. _www.camgenpa.com/cems/ecStBene01.html_ (http://www.camgenpa.com/cems/ecStBene01.html) I am not saying this is the Daniel Gray referred to in the obituary, but it may very well be. Sara Gray is not listed in the index, but we know the index is incomplete. The Daniel A. Gray buried at St; Benedict's in Carrolltown was the son of Philip A. Gray and Susanna Lantzy who are also buried there. In a message dated 12/30/2008 4:25:34 P.M. Central Standard Time, eflad@comcast.net writes: Hi Researchers, I need a little help here. 1. [PACAMBRI] St. Vladimir's Cemetery?
    2. Joyce Homan
    3. Hello all, I was wondering if someone could tell me the exact location of this cemetery. I was home over the holidays and followed the directions on the East Taylor website (http://easttaylor.com/history.htm), but unfortunately following Hazel Street just took me down a back road that ended with no sign of a graveyard. I am familiar with St. Petka's (it's where my grandparents are buried), so I drove up there and looked around to see if I could see a sign for St. Vladimir's, too, but didn't see anything.)Thanks for the help, hope you all had wonderful holidays!Joyce _________________________________________________________________ Send e-mail faster without improving your typing skills. http://windowslive.com/online/hotmail?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_hotmail_acq_speed_122008

    2. slbearer
    3. Can someone tell me what can be done if a headstone is not engraved the way it was requested? I just recently figured out there was no room left on a tombstone for the military information. After going to see the stone I realized I was right. I didn't think there was anything that could be done, however, upon going through the deceased files, I found the military information was included in the request when the stone made & paid for years ago. The information was asked to be put on the base of the stone & I have never seen it put there before, but I do think that they should have made it known from the beginning that the information could not be put on the base of the stone. Can anyone make any suggestions or know if anything can be done.
