Let's try again: I am working on a photo family tree for my mother's upcoming 100th birthday. I am trying to document as much of the family tree as I can. I appreciate the information on Mary Strain. Here's my questions: 1. Are there any descendants of William Strain out there? Especially of his son, John Strain? I have a Civil War letter John wrote while in the battlefield, and a school 'certificate of merit' for him. I can send scans of them to interested family members. 2. Is anything known of the William Strain's parents or his immigration dates? 3. I appreciate the information on Mary Strain in this thread. Does anyone have information on her siblings? I am missing a death date and place for John Strain, as well as a spouse and any offspring. Can anyone help? 4. I am trying to put photos to the tree. Does anyone have Strain photos or scans of portraits? Does anyone know where the cemeteries are for their burials?
