This is not genealogically related but the Butler County Historical Society is requesting volunteers to help with the spring clean up at Cooper Cabin. This involves sweeping, dusting, and putting small artifacts in place for the season at both the cabin and the spinning house. We will meet at the cabin, 199 Cooper Road, Cabot at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, May 1. You don't need to bring anything with you. All help greatly appreciated. The Cabin will open for the season on May 15 & 16 with the Civil War re-enactment weekend. Help is still needed in the visitors' booth taking admission fees and at the food booth where we sell hot dogs, drinks, and apple dumplings. Questions - 724-283-8116 Thank You!
