Martin Charles C. Martin, aged 62, former Butler County Commissioner, died at the family residence Cabot R. D. 2 at midnight following a lingering illness. Mr. Martin was born in Bufflo township and had operated a farm in Winfield township the greater part of his life. He had resided in the Buffalo and Winfield districts his entire life. Mr. Martin was elected County Commissioner of Butler county in the November election in 1923 and served a full term from 1924 to 1928. He was well known through the county. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Martha Shearer Martin, five daughters Mrs. Cleora Shick of Ekastown,Lillian of Mt Holly, N. J., Juanita, Bernice and Iola Martin at home, two sons, Clarence of Butler R. D. 5 and Leroy Martin at home, and a sister Mrs. Ethel McClelland of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Mr. Martin was a member of the Cabot Methodist Episcopal church. Funeral services will be held from the family residence, Cabot R. D. 2 at 2:30 o'clock Griday afternoon with Rev. David Funkhouse, past of the Cabot Methodist Episcopal church, officiating.
