Listers: ? ? I recently?saw a listing for?a dentist, a Dr. Frank D.?GEER, whose practice was located in Johnstown, PA, c. 1902.? This was from the Western PA Genealogical Society's? Fall quarterly, 2009.? The article is a list of Penn dentists in 1902.? It states his practice was in the Suppes Bldg and he graduated from the PA. Col. Dental Surg., 1899.? ? ? I have a 2x greatgrandmother, Mary GEER, b. abt. 1810, Cumberland, PA who married James CARSON, b. 1800 Carlisle, PA on the 18th of Dec 1828, at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Pittsburgh, PA.? This couple's first two children, daus. Ellen B.?and Ann Virginia were born in Butler Co., PA, 1831 and 1837.? The family later lived in Old Allegheny/Allegheny City, as per Harris city directories and censuses.? This couple's d.o.d.'s were James 1875 and Mary 1885 and they are buried in the Allegheny Cemetery, Allegheny Co., PA. ? ? My question is could my Mary nee Geer Carson be an ancestor of the Dr. Geer, dentist, c. 1902?? I have no further data regarding Mary's parents or siblings.? ? If anyone is researching the Geer surname or has any further information and is willing to share, I would be most interested to hear from you. ? ?Thank you. ? Marybeth acmbjc@aol.com ?
