Thomas, a son of William BRANNAN,lived in Butler County since 1845, residing in Franklin Township. The last information I have on Thomas was he was alive in 1870, at the age of 72. Jane BRANNON, married Francis CURRIE "CURRY" (born in Scotland) about 1846. Francis and Jane also resided in Franklin Township, until his death in 1850. It is my understanding Jane BRANNON then married a James McCALL. They had at least one daughter, Mary McCALL, born 1859. I believe James and Jane had a second daughter named Margaret. Margaret was born around 1856. Mary McCALL in the 1870 Pa. Census, Butler County, Franklin Twp., is residing with her grandfather, Thomas BRANNON, while Margaret is residing with a Ralph & Margaret CRAMMER. It is stated that Mary and Margaret are living with family. I believe Margaret CRAMMER's maiden name was CURRY, the daughter of Francis & Jane "BRANNON" CURRY. I found Jane BRANNON residing with her first husband, Francis CURRIE, in the 1850 census, after this I find no written records of her. I thought since James & Jane's daughter, Mary MCALL, was born in 1859, they would all show up in the census of 1860, but I have not been able to locate them. Perhaps, the family moved to Ohio, or James & Jane died. Need help in finding out what became of James & Jane McCALL. When did Thomas BRANNON die? Where are any of them buried? Any and all other information on the Brannons, Currie's, and McCALL's would truly be welcomed Hello, The above I copied from a listing made in 2002 and the McCall name was in and around Franklin, Butler Co., PA I also have MANY of the McCalls in that area and come down from Robt. & Eliz Young McCall b. 1737 & abt. 1769 Pa to John & Susan Riddle McCall b. 1791 in Salem Twsp.& 1794 in Buffalo, Butler Co. to Anna b. 1819 in Buffalo, Butler Co. mar. to Jesse Maxwell of Greensburg, Pa Do you have any connection to the person above for contact? I do believe that we maybe related and if you are in this line somewhere it would be great to hear from you and compare notes. I have a 3rd cousin who was living in Ark. who did a lot of research on the McCall, Maxwell, Young, etc. names. To her Mary b. 1859 above I also have a Mary who would have been a sister to my Anna McCall Maxwell ( this family moved to NW ILL by 1855)and was born in 1859 but no other info on her. Thanks, Ruth in ILL Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
