Hi Glee, In regards to the Bulter Citizen, is it on Microfilm? The Erie Daily Times is, and anyone can go to the public library to browse and photocopy any article. If so could you let me know where I can go to do this. There were many things I would want to look up. Also could I bother you for a photocopy of this article. Let me know how much for postage and all. It seems that my great grandmother's parents were William Barnhart Byers and Mary Elizabeth Helper. William's Father was John Byers, married a Susan Barnhart. Sue died in 1896 William Died one day when the family was moving. He fell off the wagon and hit his head which caused his death 21 November 1906 I believe. This could also have been my other Grand father Alex Baxter I believe this date was 15 May 1889. . I would like to stop down to research it in the paper, just to make sure as I've heard conflicting stories. It is possible that this John Byers was the father of the John Byers in the article. Thank you Glee for your reply. If there is anything I can do for you , please give me a shout. Hi Rick, It is possible but according to my information John BYERS b.18 Dec 1816 and Susannah BARNHART only had one son, William. BTW, since you appear to be descended from Armstrong/Butler County HEPLER, BYERS and twice from BARNHARTs you and I must be at least quadruple cousins!
