    2. This is from compilings by Toots Hoffman and Audrey Austel. They show Mrs. John (Mary Borland) Glenn as the mother-in-law of Martha Borland. [Rachel Borland married William C. Glenn. Is there another Mary Borland?] John Glenn, native of Ireland, came to America at age 18, and according to Toots Hoffman, was previously married and and purchased property for the children of his first wife in Kentucky. He married second, Mary Borland and had at least six children: Ann, Mary, Robert married to Martha Borland, John married to Mary ___, James married to Janet Stirling, and Joseph married to Mary Thompson. Robert and Martha (Borland) Glenn's children are: John (married first Eleanor Newell and second, Elizabeth H. ___); Mrs. John (Mary Glenn) Gilfillan; Andrew (married first, Ann Aikin and second, Mary Maxwell); Mrs. James (Catherine Glenn) Humphrey; Robert; Mrs. John (Margaret Glenn) Christie; William Glenn married to Eleanor Christy; and Archibald married to Susan Christie John and Mary (?) Glenn had the following children: Mrs Thomas (Jane Glenn) McClemmons; Mrs. James (Elizabeth Glenn) Glenn [same surname marriage]; Mrs. Mary A. Montgomery; Robert Glenn; James Glenn; and Joseph Glenn. James and Janet (Stirling) Glenn had the following children: Joseph married Annis McElvaine; Capt. John married Dorcus McElvaine; James married Ann Campbell; William married Rebecca Porter; Samuel married Jane Conway; Mrs. David (Margaret Glenn) Findley; Mrs. Mary Cowden; and Mrs. A. M.
