    1. [PABUTLER-L] John Truby 1772-1854
    2. I looked up John Truby's neighbors in the 1800 and 1810 Censuses for Buffalo Township, Armstrong counties. The 1820 Census was in alphabetical order so I couldn't tell who his neighbors were. In the 1800 Census, his neighbors were William McGlaughlin, John Jack, Joseph Hamers, Daniel Green, William Jack, Adam Maxwell, George Ridle, JOHN TRUBY, ____ McConaughy, George Knox, Col William Parker, Adam Buffman, Adam Peters, John Peters. His place in that list, so close to Col. William Parker, tells me he was indeed in the Bear Creek area of Butler County/Armstrong County. Col. William Parker surveyed northern Armstrong/Butler County and homesteaded in (present) Parker Tp, Butler Co. Present day Parker, Armstrong Co, is contiguous with Parker Tp, Butler County. The 1810 Census for Buffalo Township is a different story. On the last page of four pages he is listed second to the bottom, as follows: Conrad Colmer, William Boal, David Colmer, Nicholas Best, James Matthews, William Morrison, John Cruikshanks, James Foreman, Nancy Ralston, James Graham, William Sloan, James Hill, Samuel Green, JOHN TRUBY, George Long. I don't recognize these names. I was hoping somebody would recognize these names and be able to tell me with a little more accuracy where these people lived, giving me present day markers, i.e., near Bruin, or south of Rte 8 or whatever. Thanks, Jane
