Hi list: Just received a death certificate for a gg-granduncle which finally lists my ggg-grandmother's surname which is LUTZ. Census tells me that Margareta LUTZ was born about 1824 in Hesse Darn (I think this should be Hesse-Darmstadt). Estimated marriage date is 1843 in probably Butler Co., Pennsylvania, USA. Margaret/Margareta LUTZ married David BARLEY, s/o David & Unknown BARLEY. David BARLEY and Margaret LUTZ had the following children: Mary E., abt. 1844, probably in Butler Co., PA Caroline, abt. 1847, probably in Butler Co., PS John, abt. 1847, probably in Butler Co., PA Sarah, abt. 1849, probably in Butler Co., PA (my line) Daniel, b. 1850, probably in Butler Co., PA Barbara, abt. 1854, Ohio USA George W., 12 May 1858, OH Amy, abt. 1862, OH David BARLEY and Margaret/a LUTZ moved to OH between 1850 and 1854. Then the family moved to McLeod Co., Minnesota USA in 1869. I have not found Mary E. and Caroline in MN so they may have married in OH. I have not been able to locate this family in OH in the 1860 census. Hoping someone is researching the LUTZ surname in Butler Co., PA. Corinne
