In PA, there is no such thing as a complete marriage file which includes the marriage license application, the duplicate license, and a divorce file. We have Marriage License Bureaus, usually included in the Register of Wills Office (at least in Western PA counties), and the Divorces are in the Prothonotary's Office or a similar office which handles civil court proceedings. I have checked a the Butler Co. Courthouse , and there is no marriage licenses or divorce for 1st wife.
