Last week I asked for help in trying to find a birth certificate which the PA Vital Records folks couldn't find. I received several great suggestions, and am pursuing them now. Now for another question: I have been unsuccessful, also with the PA Vital Records folks, in locating a death record for my uncle. I had them search on two different years, but to no avail. My question: Do the counties such as Butler keep death records? The year we would be interested in is 1909/1910, and the death ocurred in either Mercer or Butler Counties. Hi Charles, Contact Genealogy@butler.library-online.org to see if they have an obituary in Butler Co. It's the Butler Area County Library. They are very helpful there.
