Would anyone out there happen to know if the census listing in the 1880 census for William Hoffman/ Harriet Hoffman, which has William listed as the sheriff, is the census for the Butler County prison? It has 12 or 13 individuals listed in this "household", all of which have different last names. Any ideas?
