    2. These are not the Wehrs you were looking for, but perhaps these couple death notices will help: "Wehr- At his home in Lancaster twp, Oct. 30, 1903, John Wehr." Butler Citizen 11-12-1903. "Weiher- At her home in Pittsburg, June 23, 1904, Mrs. Annie, widow of C. F. Weiher, formerly of Saxonburg." Butler Citizen 6-30-1904. Then there is part of an article on Gold Star Mothers. It is undated, but from the Butler Eagle, about 1976. "Twenty-five years ago two mothers, Mrs. Stewart Wehr and Mrs. Stephen Snider, who had lost sons in the service of their country, organized Butler Chapter of Gold Star Mothers. The charter was signed by ten mothers April 11, 1951 and on Sept. 26, 1951 installation of officers was held with the late Henry Buchter, Past Commander of Joseph T. Black Post 249, VFW as master of ceremonies..." It names several clergymen participating in the ceremonies and vocalist, Phillip Smith. I'm sorry the rest of the article isn't there. Then there is an obituary in the Butler Eagle, page 30, Thursday, 1-12-1967 for Stewart A. Wehr. He was 76, of Butler, died on the twelfth, was born in Prospect, a son of Elmer & Martha Stewart Wehr. His wife was Barbara Harrer. He had a sister, Mrs. Lois McLaughlin of Garden City, NY. Glee

    3. Thank you for this. I checked my files and have none of these people. But they could be related to Adam's parents, Michael Wehr born 1/1827 in Germany & Sarah Hess. They also had a daughter, Eva Barbara Wehr born 1854 who married Fredrick Spithaler, a brother to Adam Wehr born 1852 wife.
