Given the cursive L and the printed Z, my guess would be Lang. Just a guess, of course, unless there are other Zang names in Butler county at the time. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Beverly M." <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, June 08, 2007 4:38 PM Subject: [PABUTLER] ZANG, Charles, born about 1870 > Hello.... > > I have an obituary for Carl Raymond MANNY (1899-1952). Thanks Pat, for your feed-back. I think that the surname is ZANG. In the 1910 census she has a brother named Earl. I found him in the Social Security Death Index: Earl ZANG Born: 29 Mar 1909 (year agrees with 1910 record) Died: May 1986 Last Residence: Butler, Butler Co., PA Interesting is, that the Butler Area Public Library Obituary Index does not show any ZANGs. Again thanks, Bev ----- Original Message ----- From: "Debby Harris" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, June 08, 2007 1:48 PM Subject: Re: [PABUTLER] ZANG, Charles, born about 1870 > Given the cursive L and the printed Z, my guess would be Lang.
