At 10 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2002, there will be a dedication of the new monument that was purchased to honor our ancestors whose graves were removed from the McKean Street Cemetery to the North Side Cemetery. The dedication will take place at the North Side Cemetery and we would appreciate the presence of all who are able to attend. This event was not advertised in the Butler Eagle this week! The renovation fund for the Butler Public Library has reached the 2.5 million point out of the 3 million needed to complete the renovations. The Fiction section, periodicals, reading area, circulation department and administrative offices will be located in their new area when the library reopens on Thursday. Anyone who has a few hours to volunteer on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, is welcome to come to the side door of the library on West Locust Street and offer your services.
