    3. Kim, Probate records are more commonly called Estates in this area. An estate record includes the will if there was one, where a will book entry is only the will. If a person owned property but there is no estate listed on the online index, you could be dealing with two different scenarios. Number 1: I missed it when the index was typed. (also known as human, I"m in a hurry, error) Number 2: The property had already been signed over to a family member, mostly likely a son, before the person died. This was a very common practice. If you can be patient a week or two, and send the name you are interested in to sweeze@zoominternet.net, I can check out these options and the deed indexes at the courthouse to see if anything shows up that way.
