My grandparents, Mary 'Rachel' Reynolds and Melvin W. Riddle met while she was a teacher at a one room school house near Harrisville and he was the superintendent of schools in that area. They were married in 1919. Does anyone know the name of this school and possibly a picture. My grandmother used to tell stories about having to get to the school so early to start the stove for heat, and how the boys were so 'bad' that my grandfather used to show up at different times of the day as a surprise to keep them in order.
