Hello all! I'm working on tracking down the Gibson family of Parker Twp, Butler Co. In particular, the parents/siblins of William Porter Gibson born abt 1853 and died April 3, 1935. He married Priscilla Katherine Huselton (date unknown) and had at least one child, Olivia Pauline Gibson. If you have any information that may link up, please let me know! thanks Joyce
Joyce: First, I do not have William Porter Gibson born 1853 in my index,,but did you know that Gideon Gibson 1764/1843 and Abigail Coulter 1782/1872 were first settlers of Perry Township and he sold his farm to Robert McCall, in what is now Dutch Hill. Gideon's son was John Coulter Gibson 1820/ 1859 who married 1840 to Esther Reddick 1817/1891.daughter of William Reddick and Jane Elizabeth Jackson.....Her father was also first elder of Presbyterian Church of Parker with his father. Church was organized in 1819.....both are buried at Parker Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Parker....John Coulter Gibson is listed with three children: Clara Gibson 1841/1929 married David Latshaw....Gideon W. Gibson born about 1843/ aka Gumbert Gibson married Mary Evans...he served Civil War company B, 103rd Regiment...........William Gideon Gibson 1850/1874 married about 1872 to Sara Elizabeth Hutchison....................Do hope that this information will be helpful to you...
