The 1st Brigade had been called up en masse to defend against a suspected British invasion of Erie on 1 January 1814, the 138th and the 26th Regiments marched to Erie to relieve the 1st Brigade and I beleive they served several months before being discharged. One mystery I found was in the bounty land record of Henry Pender who served in the 138th who stated he was wounded in the shoulder in a skirmish with the British. There is no record of any action at Erie other than British ships firing an occassional shot. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
