Wm Smith. Allegheny County would have been the 15th Division Pa Militia during the War of 1812. Officers were elected by vote, so he could have been a Captain one year and a private the next. Due to reorganization in our library I was unable to check the Pa Archives, go online to footnote.com to see them. The Pa Archives website I believe also has an online index to officers.
