They appear in Ophir, LaSalle Co, IL in 1870. The oldest children, Albert, Charles, Emma and Ina Belle, are listed in the census as being born in PA, so I would conjecture they moved to Ophir sometime between 1868 and 1870. I believe John Wesley LARDIN may have served in the Civil War, though I haven't checked the records. In the 1870 census of Ophir, LaSalle Co, IL, Daniel LARDIN (1849-1933), John Wesley's youngest brother, also shows up in the household as a farm laborer.
