It says he was born in Butler, PA, and that jis parents James and Anna Lavelle were born in Ireland. My question is, does anyone know if there were Lavelle families in Butler in the 1840's. MY FIL's great grandfather William, claimed to be born in 1847, and that he grew up on a farm in Butler, PA, until he ran away to fight in the Civil War. Any help is appreciated!
