His sister, Sophia Hull Lusk Clow wrote about him in a letter to their sister, Laura Janette Cossitt, wife of Epaphroditus Cossitt. Loring studied medicine under Dr Cossitt, his "brother-in-law," in Mercer, PA, according to this website: http://www.rootsweb.com/~pabutler/1883/83-10.htm I found more information on Loring and his sons at this website:http://www.rootsweb.com/~pabutler/1895/95x11.htm Laura was also born in New York. Other people have Laura with the last name of Hull, but in family letters, the last name is Lusk. Hull is used as Sophia's middle name. I also have a letter from their sister Julia to Laura telling about Sophia's death due to breast cancer in 1850. I guess it is possible that Laura is a half sister, maybe with the same mother but a different father - Hull. Do you know if Mary Adams was married before she married Amos Lusk? I have Laura born about 1792, Julian born 1795, Minerva 1795, Loring 1799, Maria 1800, Dianthe 1801, Milton A. 1803, Sophia 1809, Julia 1810.
