I had posted on this Butler community because Mary Margret Reimer, had been born in Buffalo Twp, and until 1920 census, was still living in the Twp/County. According to the 1930 census, she had been married Apx. 10 years. I was hoping there were other family members, who could help with an obit. Thanks for your reply and suggestions. However, this Leslie listed his wife as Mary M. He also was an injured vet. AND he, too, died in Marion. Enough information, I think, to justify trying to track down the obituaries. Does anyone have information or photos of the Wilson or Hart school that once stood on Kittanning Hollow Road , between rt 68 and rt 268 in Armstrong County? Members of my Ellenberger and Garner families may have attended the school. The school is no longer standing. A home has been built on the property and a neighbor has some of the foundation stones. Read about these great records, what they contain, and how to obtain copies at www.bcgs.us. Surnames beginning with the letters A through L, except for the letter C are now available. The Butler County Historical Society is in the process of compiling a book on all of Butler County's Schools. Included in the book are maps of each township with the location of each school marked, photos of the schools, photos of school children, and some reminiscences of people who attended one room school houses. The Society is asking people to check their archives for school photos and either donate their photos or donate a scanned photo along with permission for us to use the photos. You may contact the Society at bchissoc@zoominternet.net; call our office - Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9 - 4 - 724-283-8116; or mail or drop your photos at BCHS, 123 West Diamond Street, Butler, PA 16001.
