I am trying to document my grandmother's siblings, but I have no photos of Clara Latham French Blair. Her daughter, Margaret E. Blair (1896-1945) married Wlliam Roger Taylor (1894-1941). They had a son, William Harold Taylor born 26 Oct 1921, died 28 Dec 1998 in Slippery Rock, Butler Co. William had three daughters, Margaret Elizabeth, Kathryn Lynn and Barbara Ann Taylor, and a son, William Harold Taylor Jr. I am hoping someone recognizes the family, or has family photos of William's grandmother, Clara Latham French Blair (also called "Cassie"). I also have no information on Clara's husband, other than a New Castle News article that states she married Allen W. Blair. Does anyone know who Mr. Blair's parents were, or his birth or death dates/places? Judy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Elsie, Prospect is in Franklin Twp. and Centre Twp. is right next to it. Milage wise I do know. Marilyn ----- Original Message ----- From: Elsie Segura To: Pabutler Sent: Mon, 1 Mar 2010 17:56:36 +0000 (UTC) Subject: [PABUTLER] Centre Twp. I am looking in Centre Twp. Butler Co. for any information on Mr. Cratin, born abt 1813, Mary his wife born abt 1826 and two children. James age 4 and Mary age 4 months. This is from the 1850 Census. In this same census I see Gallaghers and Hockenberry's. My Grandmother was Amelia Cratin Hockenberry born Jun 4, 1877 before she married Silas Howard Young. Her Mother was Jane Amelia (or Jane Ann) McCullough born Oct 28, 1857. and Jane's Mother was Amelia Cratin Gallagher. born Oct 27, 1835 in Prospect, Pa. My middle name is Crayton (should have been cratin) and I was told the name Cratin came through the line to me. I cannot put the "Cratin Sur name" together that married a Gallagher. I guess it could have been Amelia Cratin's mother's maiden name. This Census is the first I have seen the Cratin's in Butler Co. I know there were both Gallagher's and Cratin's in Ireland in Rapho. Can anyone give me some light on who had the original Cratin as their last name. Amelia Cratin Gallagher's parents were James Gallagher born 1781 in Ireland, and Mary Albright.born 1807. I believe her Father to be Solomon Albrecht. Anyway, I am lost on this and really want to know who my middle name orginated from. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Charles' name wasn't really Charles, it was Christian. You can find Christian and his family living in the 1840 and 1830 census in Berne, Fairfield, Ohio. Christian Keasey died in September 1844 just before the family moved out to LaGrange County, Indiana. Elizabeth went anyways with two Brothers-in-law (these brothers would be John and Joseph Keasey that you can find living in Hocking County, Ohio 1830 and 1840, and LaGrange County Indiana in 1850). I'm still researching this family but this is what I've found so far.
