    3. The Suttons from Scituate, Plymouth Colony are an extremely well documented family and at least at the end of the last century there were huge family reunions at the park in Butler. There are several branches in Butler Co. and all of them are probably related in some way. In 1800 Jeremiah Sutton and his wife Elizabeth Johnson came to what is now Concord Twp. with four of his adult children: Jeremiah, Joseph, Platt and Phoebe. Jeremiah and Phoebe left for Grant Co. IN. She married a Voorhees, he married a Davis. Joseph had one daughter, Jane, who married a Morrow. Platt had two daughters named Elizabeth. One, Mary Elizabeth married her cousin John Sutton, son of Joseph. The other married Andrew Bullman. These two are slightly younger than yours, having been born in Butler Co. However ... there is a web site that has every thing you can imagine on Sutton lineage http://www.geocities.com/bjhughes.geo/ It can take some time to get through but you should be able to find a line with the name David. It is not a name used in the line I describe above. Sara

    3. Kay, I had checked the obit file in Butler for them and didn't find anything, but I will double-check tomorrow when I'm there. Worthington is in Armstrong County. You may want to check the Armstrong list for that cemetery listing. Pat

    2. How could I find out where EMMA IOLA MILLER is buried in Worthington. She died April 12, 1925. She and her husband, EMANUEL MILLER apparently lived in Fenelton. Would there be an obituary for her? She usually went by her middle name IOLA. Kay Davis

    3. Glee, Always enjoy your postings! I'm wondering if you have any idea "which" Sutton is the father of Elizabeth Sutton b. c 1797 d. 8/18/1850? She married James Lyon 2/17/1818. They lived in Middlesex township. The only clue I have is that she named her first son David S. and I have seen some places that the S. stands for Sutton. Haven't been able to find anything to prove that David is her father. I think the 1810 census (would have to dig this out to be sure but was before the year she was married) showed three Suttons who had daughters Elizabeth's age. Hoping you will be able to give me some direction. Thank you. 3. My gggrandad Joseph Sutton, b1807 in PA married Suzannah Myers, b1808, in PA. I do not know where they were born in PA, so everytime I see, especially a Sutton name in a different area of PA, I attempt to try to find out if he was from that area. The last known places, I believe, they lived in prior to migrating to Belmont County, OH was Claysville and West Alexander PA. Joseph was a shoemaker by trade. I am trying to locate the parents of Joseph and Suzannah. Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much = Willy

    3. I would like to welcome those of you new to this site and tell you there are some really great folks who are willing to help just for the asking. I, myself do Volunteer research at Andersonville Civil War Prison in Andersonville Georgia. There are Any research I do is absolutely at NO cost and I am willing to do what I can. There are more that 4274 prisoners on record from the state of Pennsylvania and more than 1800 who died here, I thought I would send my offer. Here are my sources of research. There are 2 online databases to do lookups.....One by name...one by Company and Regiment. I also have a copy of the Dorence Atwater Death list which has the names and grave numbers of some 13000 graves with only 460 marked as " UNKNOWN " This along with a CD I have which contains 34,000 names of the 45,000 who were imprisoned there which helps me find prisoner records because of misspellings of the names or alternate names. I visit the prison site every couple of weeks and have access to the onsite databases as well as the physical files. I would like to let you know of another service I offer which is to take photos of graves for a small fee. If there is anything I can do in helping your research at Andersonville, please just ask.
