    2. BethStuebgen
    3. Subject: Re: PATCH SURNAME His database can be downloaded from his web site at http://www.che.eng.ohio-state.edu/~brodkey/patch.html. In my search for the STUEBGEN surname, I have come across an Ada Stuebgen married to Mr. Patch. (Father is Charles Fredrick Stuebgen) and (Mother is Sophia Hagmier Stuebgen) Their children are: Mack, Ike, Ruth, Emma, Elizabeth, Ralph, and James. The STUEBGEN'S were from Allegheny County, Butler County......Western PA. I know there was a "General Patch". The time frame would be about the late 1800's to early 1900's. Have you run across any of these names in your searches for the PATCH family trees? Thank you so much for any information. Would you contact me by e-mail if there is any connection. Beth M. 1. [PABUTLER-L] census help
    2. Pat
    3. Christi, The best way to locate these people is to use the census index. Some are available online, others may be used by way of soundex. You could receive help with this, by posting the names you are looking for and their location in the census years to these maillists, your local library, and some Indexes are available at www.ancestry.com. 3. I feel a silly asking, but I wonder if there's anyone who can help me understand how to find info on a census. I know what streets my ancestors lived on at the time of various censuses, but they lived in large cities. I'm really not excited about searching through every page of a city census at the local library. Is there a way to find the street relatively easily? Thanks, Christi ------------------------------------------------ researching from Switzerland: BORNER, CHALLANDES, HUBER, MEIER, SCHILD, SCHLECHTER, WAFFLER, WALDER from Germany: HERMANNI/HARMONI, TIMM, TONSING, TRABA, YUNKER from Prussia: DIEBALL, RETICKA from Scotland/N.Ireland: AIKEN, BORLAND/BORELAND, CAMPBELL, CHRISTY/CHRISTIE, DIVEN, GLENN, HALL, MAGEE, MONTGOMERY, SMITH from England: LOWE from Czechoslovakia: HANISEK, POLCHA from Wyoming Co./Lackawanna Co., Pa: DUNLAP, DAVIS, HUNTER, POST from Scranton, Pa: BELSKI, GREEN, McCALL, MILLER, STANKO, WARGO

    2. Dorisanne Gibson
    3. Hello, I am new to this group, and married to a man named GIBSON, whose family we are researching. Whew, there sure are a lot of Gibsons in Butler County. Last week we visited the Westminster Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Saxonburg. We know where most of the folks buried there fit into our family tree but there was one couple, Joseph B. Gibson, 1854-1931 and his wife, Barbara, 1850-1919 about whom I do not have a clue. I have never even run across the names in connection with any of the other Gibson families in the County. Perhaps one of you know something about this man and his wife. Thank you very much. Gibby

    2. Holding the left mouse with the finger, run your cursor over the URL address. (If it isn't in blue.) Click on to Edit, then Cut. Put your cursor in the URL address line, and click. Then Edit, then Paste. Then Go. Try it- called Cut and Paste, and a most useful tool! Let me know if it works for you. Doris
