    3. Hi, I have been told that members of our Hallstein side of the family are connected with the Zieglers and Boyers. Have you found any Hallsteins in your search? Cheers. CJ Keim (from Australia) -----Original Message----- From: WSaun53@aol.com [mailto:WSaun53@aol.com] Sent: Friday, 7 March 2003 1:25 AM To: PABUTLER-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PABUTLER-L] ELIZABETH (SCHEIDEMANTLE) SCHELER Paula, I have just spent about 2 hours looking through my research notes. According to my records, Benjamin Sechler Moyer, born 1797 married Maria B. Boyer (Mary), b. February 17, 1974. My source came from AMERICAN BOYERS, 7th Ed., Vol. V, by Donald A. Boyer, 3-BW17, page 100. Looking through their listed children, the dates do match what you listed with the exception of our daughter Elizabeth. On page 104, same source, 4-BW176, Elizabeth Boyer Moyer was born 1835 and died in 1838. I have contacted another researcher who has done extensive research on part of the Moyer family to see if he has any information on Elizabeth. Also, I posted to the Butler list to have a lookup for Benjamin's family in "The Ziegler Family and Related Families in Pennsylvania". I will get back to you when I have further information. The very morning I started my Pennsylvania research (nearly six years ago) I was in the New Castle Vital Statistics office. The lady there told me to use Genealogy as the reason if that is the case in spite of what it says on the form. I have done so a couple dozen times since then and have had no problems or delays. Let's hope we can continue doing that. Jim Wise --=======59AB4FC6=======--

    3. I used the Pennsylvania Dept. of Health Vital Records site yesterday for the first time and ultimately ordered a death cert for my grandfather (cost $3). My father died in California. His certificate will cost $13. Massachusetts certificates are $11 by mail, but they also provide an Heirloom version printed in blue and gold on parchment and hand signed for $30. Thanks for the warning. I will get all the $3 certs. that I can before the price changes, but it does not look as if the proposed price is out of line. One thing that did bother me was the perception that certificates for genealogical purposes are given a 2nd class treatment. The following is cut and paste from the Pennsylvania web site: We regret this service is not available for genealogy requests or when requesting a record of a birth that occurred in another country and was subsequently registered in Pennsylvania. That particular service was the online order which added $7 to the cost. I had no problem in mailing in the form. I will admit to having checked Other rather than Genealogical for reason on the form. I can just imagine the requests being sorted by reason in New Castle, PA where the requests are sent. If so, I wanted mine in the small Other basket rather than the large overflowing genealogical basket. I am sure that I am wrong!?!? If there is a price increase, perhaps the "reason" question will come off of the request form. Neither Massachusetts or California required a reason: Mass wanted to know the relationship, Calif. did not ask anything other than my name and the name of the person for whom I wanted a record. 2. Paula, I have just spent about 2 hours looking through my research notes. Kathie

    1. [PABUTLER-L] THE ZIEGLER FAMILY AND RELATED FAMILIES
    2. Hello List, Does anyone have a full copy of "The Ziegler Family and Related Families in Pennsylvania" by Gertrude Mohlin Ziegler. I am very interested in a lookup on the family of Maria Bauer Boyer (1798-1880) and husband Benjamin Sechler Moyer (1797-1879), the part of the book that was sent to me states to "See Pages 300 & 301 for Moyer Line and Page 305 for 4th Generation of Boyer Family. Line is continued on Moyer Line." I am very interested in finding out the names of their children and their spouses. In particular, I am interested in daughter Elizabeth. Thank you. Kathie
