In my eagerness to help I have overlooked the fact that I might get inundated with requests for lookups on several families at a time. If you could just give me one name per request I would appreciate it! Thanks!
Marilyn, The 5 volume cemetery inventories were done throught the 1970's in Butler County. The information contained in these volumes is ONLY what was readable on the headstones. Many libraries throughout the country seem to have copies of these volumes as well as the libraries in Butler County and the Butler County Historical Society. Some people on this maillist have copies of them too. They can still be purchased at: www.mechlingbooks.com Pat
Would appreciate 1870 census information on JOHN GEORGE WIEGNER/wife Frances (nee Knoch) in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PA. G. Lane
The genealogy department at the Saxonburg Area Library has copies of cemetery inventories of Butler County. Someone is usually in the department on Tuesdays from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. Their telephone number is 724-352-4810. DH

There is a "Christy? Mary" with no dates listed after John T 1812-9 Sep 1862 and some of his children --- how's that for syntax? No William. Not in any other Washington Twp. cemetery. Can someone tell us what is in these volumes? I am looking for cemetery information for John BROOKS of Cranberry Township, who died after 1810 and before 1820 (judging by census records). It appears that his wife died before 1810. He had five children, John, James Moore, Thomas, and two girls. He was a protestant, born in Ireland. Hi, I have Vol. 2&3, unfortunately - not #1. I was wondering if you have a Helen Louella Christy, she married Edwin James Longwell. He is one of my gr. uncles. Thanks, Susan
What is the full name of your Williamson/William Christy? Possibly James Williamson Christy? Is it possible that his wife was Mary L. Thompson? You don't provide dates and that might be helpful. By any chance were they in Mercer Co, PA. M. Hello, I am seeking information on Edward and Elsie (Brown) Finnell. They lived in Butler. They had at least 4 children: John (b. 1892, d. 1972), Kathleen "Kate", Mary Margaret "Maggie", and Hazel Cecilia (b. 1900, d. 1978). Mary Margaret went on to marry John Banford Bowser. Hazel Cecilia married Samuel Kenyon. I know nothing about Hazel's parents, with the exception of their names. Oh, and Edward Finnell was born in Ireland. He was supposed to have come to the US when he was only 3 years old and he had two twin brothers, Michael and Patrick. I have not verified the latter as fact. I read it on a posting and haven't heard back from the poster. Any leads would be appreciated! Misty Hughes Post
