I got his mother's name from the 1910 Census, though not her maiden name. The maiden name may be available in the delayed birth certificate from Butler County. The fathers name is from the 1880 Census, and though Luke isnt in that census, his mother and siblings are. 1920 US Census, Manor, Armstrong, PA Corbett, Luke Ralph 28 (mistranscribed as Lyle R. Corbett on the index at ancestry, But it is Luke when you see the image. After finding Luke with his mother and brother, I searched the 1880 Census for the mother, and found her in 1880, presumably with the parents of Luke R. and Thomas Corbett (Caroline, born 1857, parents from Wales) 1880 US Census Allegheny(township), Butler, PA David Cobbett 27 Coal Digger, PA, father England, mother PA Caroline Cobbett 23 PA, parents Wales Charles Cobbett 7 Fanny B, Cobbett 6 Oliver Cobbet 2 The Butler County Genealogy pages have the delayed birth record index. They also have an obituary index that includes some of the names of the children. I think you can order the obits for five dollars. Stauffer--Minister and Supt of O. U. I found this to be the ministoer of St. Pauls Orphan's home. (O. U. S. ?) William Allshouse married Mary Electa Stepp, settling in WVA and eventually Oklahoma. William apparently had a sister Laura. Is anyone else researching this family. I have the complete list of "boarders" should anyone be interested.
