He was my grat grandfather and was married to Mary Clementine White. May have been married before. He had 2 sons and 2 daughters, Richard, Elmer, Mollie, and Mae. Mae was married to a James Kahn. I think Mary was born in Pit Hole City, Pennsylvania per her obit. I want to find any info I can. Jacob died in 1913 in Butler, Pennsylvania. Mary came to Ohio and was remarried to John Uncapher. My info says Jacob was buried in Petrolia but I couldn't find his name on cemetery lists. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Badger and wife Lucille Jane Smith. Their children were: Howard Badger, born 8 Oct 1895, married Lois V. Gould 24 Sep 1919. Herman Joel Badger, born 11 Jan 1899, married Mary E. Fehl 12 Oct 1921. Frank was the son of Matthew Badger (1836-1920) and Maria Baker (1844-1926). Matthew Badger was the son of James L. Badger (1784-1865) and Ann Bertran (1805-1888). Maria Baker was the daughter of Jacob Jewell Baker (1812-1892) and Catherine Hockenberry (1816-1898). James L. Badger was the son of William Badger (1770-1830) and Miss Linsey (1773-1821). Ann Bertran parents unknown. Jacob Jewell Baker was the son of Cadwallader Baker (1789-1850) and Sarah Jewell (1794-aft 1850). Catherine Hockenberry was the daughter of Casper Hockenberry Sr. (1785-1860) and Margaret Shaffer (1788-1852). I have some additional information on these families. Hello Pat, Is there a way to get a scaned copy of a page? There is a page that contains both Michael and Jacob Leppley in 1828, and wonder if they could be the ones in my family. It says he was born in Butler, PA, and that jis parents James and Anna Lavelle were born in Ireland. My question is, does anyone know if there were Lavelle families in Butler in the 1840's. MY FIL's great grandfather William, claimed to be born in 1847, and that he grew up on a farm in Butler, PA, until he ran away to fight in the Civil War. Any help is appreciated!
