Mike, Maybe you should give me the particulars on John, if you are trying to prove a relationship. Let me know. - Pattie ----- Original Message ----- From: Mike McDonald<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, June 19, 2007 11:07 AM Subject: Re: [PABUTLER] larimore Patti, In 1870 I found him listed as Jacob B Larimer. I'm thinking his wife may have been a Beatty. I've found a couple Beatty's living with them throughout the years. However, when they listed William Beatty living with Jacob and Nancy in 1880 they did not list the relationship. However in 1850 they didn't list the relationship of Nancy Beatty either. One of the Wills/Estate records that I'm trying to get through is for an Elizabeth Larrimore that passed abt 1834. It also lists numerous Beatty's as siblings. I have a second Will/Estate for a John Larrimore that appears may have passed about 1831 that also lists Beatty's in the family. So I'm thinking that this John and Elizabeth may have been married. However, because it's all handwritten (and I've found someone with worse handwritting then myself) it's hard to read through it all. I've got seven of them in my database (without trying very hard). Three of them are roughly contemporary - I forget offhand how many served in the Civil War... Fortunately for my peace of mind, my ancestor frequently distinguished himself as "Jeremiah C. RALSTON". He was born 3 Jul 1837 in Pennsylvania (probably Butler Co, but I have no proof of that). He was among the sons of William RALSTON (~1809-1863) and Isabella CAMPBELL (1814 - 1880). After his Civil War service (in the Company G of the PA 134th Regiment) he married Abigail COVERT, daughter of Morris/Maurice COVERT jr (both his parents were COVERTS) and Margaret WIMER (both her parents were WIMERS). The wedding was on 19 Jul 1865 in Lancaster Twp., Butler Co, PA. Jeremiah C. Ralston and Abigail Covert appear to have had six children; I have names and dates for four, three of whom survived to adulthood and married. I can provide more info on the couple and their descendants if you're interested Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Hi! Jumping in here on a very long shot. Would anyone on this list have knowledge of a lady whose married name was Wimer and who had a daughter, Zella? Zella married a Charles Richardson and they lived next door to me in New Castle back in the early 1940's. At that time "Mother Wimer" was living with her daughter and son-in-law and their son, Harold. The son married and at one time lived in the Seattle or Spokane area of Washington. Being a small child, I was only allowed to address this elderly woman as "Mother Wimer" and I don't think I ever heard her first name. Bev
Hi Maggie, If you have Google Earth, you can enter addresses and zoom into the houses, some zoom in more than others. I did this with parents old addresses for my recent trip to Pa and showed right where they were, and that yes, they were still there. Can even do it for your own address, see if you can find your house, really a cool feature, and great program. If you don't have it, here's link for Google Earth-free download: _http://google-earth.download-here.at/us/_ (http://google-earth.download-here.at/us/) Hope this helps!
