Also, I had a lady contact me last week inquiring about if any Hutchi(n)son's belonged to DAR. I gave her your (old) email address (the only one I had) as I remember that you did have records on that but when I tried to find the specific record I could not locate it??? Help, please?? My line goes through Warren's sister Lydia, who married Joseph Cowden (given name was Cowden Roxberry. He was the youngest child of Upton and Mary (Heckathorn) Roxberry (sometimes Roxbury). Joseph was first married to a Mary C. WAGNER (I recently found this out through an obit and a marriage announcement sent to me). He married Lydia Lepley second, they married 30 Sep 1893 and the name on the marriage license application is Cowden Roxberry, he changed this sometime before Aug 1903 as my grandmother, Arrea Alice's maiden name was Cowden. However I noticed in an obituary for Upton that he is listed as C.E. indicating that they assumed he was still using the Roxberry surname. That was in November 1903 so within that time he changed it. As for Henry and the Civil War, there isn't much to tell, I have his pension file, which shows that he was mustered out (allegedly) more than once AFTER he died in May of 1864. I would LOVE to have a picture of his grave or known where he is buried. I noticed that Lynn mentioned Charles Lepley's diary, I have a copy of the entries that I got from Penny Pollack and one entry in June makes note that Charles was told that Henry was injured but makes no other mentions, I thought that was interesting. I can't recall the exact date he noted that but it was in June. What I am really interested in is the parents of Michael Lepley, Henry and Charles' father, which I have not been able to uncover. I'm currently working on another line but if anyone has any info on Michael's parents post it here or e-mail me, [email protected] Jackie Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Henry and Katharine only had 4 children. I believe I remember reading some family history that indicated there was a 5th child that was either still born or died shortly after birth. I think that latter because the child was given a name. My memory fails me, but it could have been a child of Lizzie(Elizabeth Kaltenbaugh) and William L. Kniess. I Will look that up again. Do you have any information on Henry Lepley who died in the Civil War. I would love to know a little more about him as he is my great great grandfather and I would like to add his information to my Civil War website for the Pa. 102nd. (I post other regiments too.) Do you know or have you ever seen Henry's grave? If you do can you let me know? I have pictures of Charles Lepley and his diary on our site.
