    1. [PABUTLER] FOWLER Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Lelia, Edna, and Alice FOWLER which was taken at the Zuver Studio in Butler, Pennsylvania. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with Lelia and Edna appearing to be in their teens and Alice in her 30's or 40's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following census information for the family: 1910 census of Evansburg Boro, PA: Alice J. FOWLER, age 31, a widow, 3 children/2 living, born PA, parents born PA Edna E. FOWLER, dau, age 10, born PA, parents born PA Lella G. FOWLER, dau, age 5, born PA, parents born PA 1920 census of Brothersvalley, PA: - living in the home of James ROBERTSON Alice FOWLER, servant, age 40, born PA, parents born PA, a Private Family Servant Lelia G. FOWLER, lodger, age 15, born PA, parents born PA I am hoping to locate someone from this FOWLER Family so that it can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

Nannie Caldwell Croup, wife of Alfred B. Croup is mentioned in the will. Nannie was the daughter of William Caldwell and his second wife, Mary Jane Stewart. Anyone still interested? 1. [PABUTLER] Tombstones for any George Brown's, 1830-1850; general question about Brown settlement

Author: jgl1959 Surnames: BROWN Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.butler/9338/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello, I need assistance with 2 things: - Looking for any tombstones of any George Brown's that died in Butler County between 1830 and 1850, and if possible, nearby tombstones of family members. I have found a George Brown who died in 1849 in the Obituary Index online, but need more information to find my ancestor. - Also, there were a large number of Brown's in Middlesex Twp. in the early 1800's. I have seen references to a "Brown Settlement" in Butler County - was it this group of Brown's in Middlesex Township? Were these Brown's all related? Any help would be very much appreciated!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Joe Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. In our records, their first son was William (born 1815), who married Susannah Bryan; second son was James Locke Taylor (born 1819) who married Maria Mariah Daniels. Third & fourth sons were Matthew (born 1819), and I could not find any more information on him, and Douglas Taylor (born 1819), who I found on 1900 census visiting his nephew and wife Douglas and Mary Taylor. I did not know that James was married to a second wife and don't have the date when Margaret passed away. Thank you for posting this information as it was very informing. If you have learned anything since your last posting, I would be very interested in reading it. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.butler/9337/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am seeking any information regarding the Delair family, of Butler. According to the Connoq'g News Archives, my great uncle William Oliver Stepp applied for a marriage license to Maude I "Delare" in 1905. In 1910, Ollie and Maude were in WVA. By 1920, she had died. According the Middlesex Presbyterian church records, a William L. Delair left the church on 2 Oct 1897 and a Mrs. Amanda Delair left on 26 June 1897. I am assuming these are related to Maude, if not the parents, since the Osborns and Stepps were members of the same church. However, I have been unable to find any other mention of the Delairs in 1900 or in 1880. In 1930 a Clarence Delair and family are living next to my great aunt--Ollie's sister--Lydia Cousins in Penn Twp. Butler County. I am assuming these names are connected in some way, but I cannot find the thread! Elaine Connoq'g News Archives 1879-1905 page 253 [12 January 1905] Marriage License--W. O.
