Does anyone have a photo of the Kradel School ? Do you remember Mrs. Protzman ?. The school was located in Summit Twp. not too far out of Butler toward Herman. It was a one room school and closed in 1956. The old school is now a house. Sue

She appeared there in the 1900 census, but not the 1910 census, so she apparently died by then. A mystery solved! Thanks for checking into this for me. I guess she may have remarried or moved, but she would have been in her 70's, or close to that. I'll look at some options, and thanks for telling me about the "Early Death's" books. You've been extremely helpful, as usual! Many thanks, Joe Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. There are 2 books that have indexes from the "Freeport Journal" from 1893-1906. Only the husband William's death notice/obit was mentioned in it. It was noted that he was from "Monroeville" which I believe is in the Cabot area of Buffalo Twp. There was nothing of the same sort for his wife. They also have a printout of the Freeport Cemetery burials done in 2 groups, pre- and post- 1900. Only William was mentioned therein. Perhaps you can go or write to the Butler Co Courthouse offices for a lookup in the county "Early Deaths 1893-1906" books. Another alternative is that she re-married, or moved. Beat of luck. William Wilson is buried in Freeport Cemetery, but there apparently is not a marker for Martha. I would like to get her death date so I can try to get an obituary. I haven't found Thomas WILSON or his wife on any other Census yet but accordding to his daughter Mary's marriage certificate he and his were deceased by 1880.
