This thread really caught my attention regarding both the Buckman family and the Temperance House. My g-g-g-grandfather Garrett Brown Davis (b. 1816 in Bucks or Berks County, named two of his seven children Charles Buckman Davis (b. 1840) and Chillion (or Chillian) Higgs Davis (b. 1849). One of the owners of the Temperance House around the 1840s was stagecoach driver, borough constable, and auctioneer Chillion W. Higgs. Do you know of any Buckmans in the neighborhood and the same era named Charles? I have been trying to find more on Garrett's birthplace and his parents, William and Susan Davis.
