Davenport ----- Intelligencer Obituaries -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Margaret E. Vasey The Intelligencer Margaret E. Vasey of Solebury Township died Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Pine Run Lakeview. She was 88. She was the wife of the late J. Howard Vasey. Born in Solebury, she was the only child of the late Elmer and Edith Michener Williams. Margaret was an independent woman who was happiest maintaining her family farm, where she lived and worked her entire life. Margaret is survived by her stepdaughter, Ann V. Beck and her husband, Newton, of Solebury; two grandchildren, Diane Beck-Werner and her husband, Ernest, and Newton L. Beck Jr. and his wife, Karen; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Naval Lt. William Vasey in 1971 and James Vasey in 2005. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Mechanicsville Cemetery, Route 413, in Mechanicsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Margaret's name may be made to Doylestown Hospital Emergency Department Expansion Development Office, 595 W. State St., Doylestown, PA 18901.
