I am trying to find the birthplace of Valentin Philip, of Rockhill, Bucks, Pa. born about 1730, probably in Wuerttemburg, Germany. I found a reference on Ancestry, year 1758, Source: Edward Hocker, from transcript at the Germantown Historical Society, information abstracted from five principal German Newspapers published in Germantown and Philadelphia 1743-1800. Is anyone familiar with this source. Would the newspapers tell the birthplace? Any help appreciated. Marjoie
