Hi all, especially Linda M., who specifically requested info on the Passengers' Lists, and the person searching for Vasey/Wasey, and the person looking for Hess/Haase etc., here is the URL for a great (but incomplete) listing of info on ships landing in Philadelphia, with some of the names of immigrants. Please note the "butchering" of the Germanic names. To get a really good sense of just *how much*, look at the two ships which arrived in 1729, and it gets worse! Little wonder that we have trouble finding our ancestors. For Vasey - note the name of the captain of the ship America, 1683. This was the ship on which Francis Pastorius first sailed. He was the gatherer of the flock, the "Original 13" from the Palatine arrived on the ship following the America - the Concord. The Original 13 settled in Germantown. THE PALATINE PROJECT: http://www.progenealogists.com/palproject/pa/1729mort.htm I love reading through these lists, I hope you, too, enjoy.
