    3. Mike, A woman in Pittsburgh and I have worked for 10 years to find out how our Neelds are related, especially since both families were neighbors in Western PA in the 1870 census. I finally found a woman in Silver Springs, MD, who had this piece of paper written by a JP stating that he married James Neeld to Mary Parsons in 1793, IIRC. One of the couple wrote the names and dates of birth of all their kids which instantly united or linked all of the Western PA Neelds and, I believe, all of the Ohio Neelds. The interesting thing is that this woman in Silver Springs has a neighbor who ALSO is a descendant of Tom Janney. It would make a better story if the Neeld descendant in Silver Springs was from the Bucks Neilds or Nields but she isn't, for which I'm eternally grateful. This same woman has traced her ancestry back to the Bucks Nield but she has that wrong. It was a member of the Bucks list who suggested to me last year that it's possible that there were two John Neelds who came to this country. Everybody overlooks mine, who came first, and every Neeld researcher that spells the name that way somehow has managed to trace their ancestry back to Bucks. Before I upset the apple cart, I want to research both men from the day they set6 foot in this country up until 1850 when the census can take over. Al At 10:09 AM 3/6/2008, you wrote: >Nield.
