this is what the booklet says, "the following are the private marriages by the Rt. Rev william White of Philadelphia. He was the Episcopal bishop of North America beginning in 1786 and served as the Rector of Christ Church from 1778 until his death in 1836 These records were abstracted from the Archives of Christ Protestant Episcopal Church in Philadelphia. Most of these marriages are included amng the general marriage records of Christ church and St. Peter's Church. However some are previously unpublished and many were originally transcribedc incorrectly."
