My g-g-g-grandfather followed this same route and in 1840 went on to Iowa. I know William had many siblings in Trumbull Co. and all of his children were in Trumbull Co. The were Eli, Joseph, Matilda Ann, Samantha Ann, Lovica Ann, William Jr. and Van Buren Pennell. I think he ran a mill of somekind. He married Martha Moore McFarland. She had two children when they married--Mary and Archibald. Are they connected? Mary married a McCullough. Leona
