Posted on: Bucks Co. Pa Query Form Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/USA/Pa/Bucks/14802 Surname: LIGHTCAP, TIPPIN, WYLIE, CARPENTER ------------------------- The names in your Sarah's lines are awfully close to some of the names in this line: I have a George and SARAH LIGHTCAP in PA: dau Sarah LIGHTCAP b abt 1811 m Charles WYLIE of NY; son Samuel born 1815 m Mary A CARPENTER; Ellen LIGHTCAP (b 1827) m Andrew H TIPPEN in 1846 Pottstown. There could be more siblings, but this is all I have found. Sarah LIGHTCAP b 1811 and Chas WYLIE b 1812 had 6 children: Lucretia, Sarah, William and Mary(both born in Indiana), Ellen, Charles and George. Samuel LIGHTCAP (1815-1899) and Mary (CARPENTER) (1829-1882) LIGHTCAP had Ellen, Flora, John, Dutton, and Samuel Jr. Ellen LIGHTCAP b abt 1827-1907(age 20 on 1850 Census in Norristown) married a Civil War and Mexican War decorated hero, Col Andrew H TIPPEN, who died in 1870 and is buried in Pottstown Cem next to her. However, after he died (from intestinal disease in Mexico) she lived in Camden NJ and died on 10/29/1907 at a residence on Elm St. Her death cert. showed parents as George and Sarah LIGHTCAP of PA and she was born in PA. In the 1850 Census there was a Lucretia RILEY (WYLIE), age 10 living with them in Norristown. There were no children listed in either's obituary. All the children of these three children of George and Sarah LIGHTCAP seem awfully close to some of the names of your lines. A bio of a son, Dutton, of Samuel and MAry, indicates that the family came from Germantown PA and had property in the Fairmount Park section there. There could be a Jacob, as the grgrandson thought his ancestor was Jacob rather than George LIGHTCAP. Is there a connection? If so, contact Diana of audiana@webtv.net
