Two of my ancestors are John Van Horn and Elenora Moode. They had eight children and Lydia and Daniel were the youngest children and listed as minors, under 14, according to OC records 1811. My ancestor, Lydia Ann, b. 1801, m Abraham BROOKS 30 Oct 1822. Lydia was living with her sister Hannah Goslin, Bristol, at that time. Unable to find the parents of Abraham BROOKS. Will of Hannah Gosin, 1821, listed sisters Elinor, Lydia, Sarah Van Horn and brothers Wm. Joseph and Andrew Mode.
I can't help with Abraham Brooks, but wonder if your Elenora Moode was descended from Andrew Moode -- my wife's ancestor through Andrew's daughter, Sarah, who married Peter Van Horn [see below]. I would appreciate any further information on this family, including Andrew Moode's parentage, etc. Harman Clark hclark@bypass.com 1. Andrew Moode #70730. Pennsylvania Wills, 1682-1834 Page 368.
