Phillip Sechrist was born in 1790.He was either born in NC or in Pa and his parents migrated to NC by 1815. He married Mary SULLIVAN on June 10 1815 in Rowan county NC. They migrated later to Morgan county IN. The spelling of the surname was changed from SECHRIST to SECREST about 1850. Although he seems to have the same place of origin and also migrated to the same place in Indiana as the other lines of Secrest in Rowan county NC, I cannot seem to make a connection to him through these lines. He is not listed as a son of any of them. Recently, someone made a post concerning a John Sechrist born in 1810 with a son named John Andrew. Both of these names are prevalent in Phillip's children and his grandchildren. Can anyone help on this?
