Can anyone help me understand a Rev. War pay record? I have a record for a Francis Hagan. He served in the Moylans Unit as a Dragoon (Active Duty Line). How can I learn more about this Moylans Unit and where in Pennsylvania it was formed? The certificate shows "Series Philadelphia (18 April 1782 to this time)". Does this mean the Moylans Unit was formed in Philadelphia? Any help is appreciated. I want to research the background of this Francis Hagan and need to know what part of Pennsylvania to begin my search.
